WorldCell/DITCO-Europe


Silver Spring, MD Oct. 11, 2004  WorldCell, Inc. a leading provider of managed services for global voice and data wireless communications, has been awarded the Enterprise Wireless Services contract by DITCO-Europe (Defense Information Technology Contracting Organization – Europe) serving the United States European Command (USEUCOM), United States Central Command (USCENTCOM) and other US Government organizations.  The contract award, with a total award value of up to $114 million, will be announced by DITCO-Europe at TechNet Europe 2004 October 14th in Warsaw, Poland.

The contract provides the opportunity for all of the USEUCOM and USCENTCOM commands, as well as other US Government organizations to order wireless voice and data services in 26 critical countries through a single point of ordering, customer care and provisioning.  WorldCell is launching a state of the art customer interface portal and billing platform as part of the contract requirement that allows qualified personnel to order and manage their accounts through a single interface.

This is the first agreement of its kind and will be a model for future contract requirements.  In the end, this will allow for a more cost effective and efficient approach as to how our Armed Forces are able to procure and utilize mission critical voice and data wireless services.”
